This program is for healthcare professionals working in the state of Kansas. If this describes you, it’s worth reading on.
If you are a Kansas-based medical professional who commits to provide health care services at a site located in a federally designated health professional shortage area for at least 2 years, you may be eligible.
In addition to these requirements, your employment must also be at a public or nonprofit facility and the practice site must maintain an open door to all residents regardless of their ability to pay.
If you are an eligible physician or dentist, you may receive up to $25,000 annually for 2 years. All other health professionals may receive up to $20,000 annually for up to 2 years.
Additional awards are available in varying amounts for up to 3 more years if you choose to extend the program.
