If you’re a nurse educator in Illinois, you may be qualified to receive loan forgiveness for your meaningful work.
If you are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, an Illinois resident, and a nurse educator who meets the licensing requirements of Illinois, you may be. You must have worked as a nurse educator instructing practical or professional nurses in an approved Illinois institution for at least the past 12 consecutive months prior to applying.
If you’re eligible, you can receive up to $5,000 per year for 4 years.

• Nursing Student Loans (NSLs)
• Supplemental loans for students (SLS)
• Private student loans
• Institutional student loans
