If you commit to a 2-year service obligation to practice in certain health professions full-time at an Indian health program site, you may qualify for this award. The site must provide quality health care services to American Indian and Alaska Native communities.
Eligible medical professions include physicians, nurses, dentists, and physical therapists. See the full list of eligible professions here.
If you are eligible for this assistance plan, you can receive up to $20,000 per year for 2 years.
Note: You must have borrowed the loans to pay for health profession schools and related expenses, as well as undergraduate prerequisites that were required for your graduate degree.
