If you hold a Mississippi Alternative Route Teaching license and teach in a Mississippi public school district located in a critical teacher or subject shortage area, you may be eligible for loan assistance. You must not currently be in default or delinquent on any federal, state, or local educational loan. You also are not eligible if you have already received funds from the Critical Needs Teacher Forgivable Loan program or the William Winter Teacher Scholar Loan Program.
If you’re eligible, you can receive up to $3,000 annually for up to 4 years.
